"I'm out!"
— Dirkes moments after he commits to anything
On Saturday, June 2nd, Mick's 3rd annual batting practice/golf invitational was held at the Avon Ball Park.

Cool, damp, and breezy conditions kept the attendance down.
Each participant was given 15 swings and points were awarded based on line drives, base hits, extra base hits, and home runs.
Brian (Panther) Andvik took an early lead in the contest with a deep home run to left field as part of his overall 10 points. Andvik's lead was short lived though as Paul (Rudy) Nett consistently belted out line drives like a right-handed Tony Gwynn to take the lead with 13 points.
But the day belonged to John (Big O) Overman. The former Albany High School graduate snuck a high fastball just over the left field fence to surpass Nett and win the title with a total of 16 points.
